Who might be able to join this trial:

• You have been diagnosed with Parkinson's disease by a doctor
• You are able to give your agreement to take part in the study, both in writing and verbally
• A doctor has diagnosed you with a condition involving difficulty controlling impulses, such as compulsive behaviours, repetitive purposeless activities (like sorting or hoarding), or compulsive use of Parkinson's medication
• You scored 14 or lower on a standard questionnaire used to measure depression (called the Beck Depression Inventory)
• You scored 20 or higher on a standard memory and thinking test (called the Montreal Cognitive Assessment)
• You are currently taking medication to replace or mimic dopamine (a common type of Parkinson's treatment)

Who may not be able to join:

• You have a history of seizures or epilepsy
• You have a history of brain lesions, such as those caused by multiple sclerosis or a brain tumour
• You have a history of blood vessel problems in the brain, such as a stroke
• You have had a moderate or severe traumatic brain injury in the past
• You have been diagnosed with a major psychiatric condition such as schizophrenia, or your depression score is 14 or higher on the Beck Depression Inventory
• You have significant difficulties with memory or thinking, based on a score below 20 on the Montreal Cognitive Assessment
• You have had a treatment called TMS (a non-invasive brain stimulation therapy) within the past year
• You are pregnant (this will be checked for female patients)
• You have any metal objects inside your skull, not including standard dental fillings
• You are currently taking substances or medications that are known to noticeably lower the threshold for having a seizure
