Who might be able to join this trial:

- People who have been diagnosed with dyspepsia (indigestion)
- People who arrive at the emergency department with upper abdominal pain rated at least 3 out of 10 on a pain scale
Who may not be able to join:
- People who have a known allergy or sensitivity to any ingredient in Maalox, Mylanta, or Famotidine
- People with moderate to severe kidney problems (confirm with trial site)
- People with kidney failure
- People who are pregnant or breastfeeding
- People whose pain score is less than 3 out of 10
- People who are unable to swallow or take oral (by mouth) medications
- People who have a bowel obstruction (a blockage in the intestines)
- People who have taken a proton pump inhibitor (a type of stomach acid medication) within 2 hours before receiving the study treatment
