Who might be able to join this trial:
Schools:
- Low-cost private secondary schools located in the greater Darjeeling area
- Schools where enrolled families earn less than $10 per day
- Schools where the principal also meets the eligibility requirements for this trial
School Principals:
- Adults aged 18 or older
- Currently employed at an enrolled school
- No history of suspected or confirmed child maltreatment
Teachers:
- Adults aged 18 or older
- Currently employed at an enrolled school
- No history of suspected or confirmed child maltreatment
Students:
- Aged between 13 and 17 years old
- A student of an enrolled teacher
- Scoring at a borderline or clinical level on standard assessments of emotional and behavioural difficulties, as reported by the student themselves and by a teacher (confirm with trial site for details on these assessments)
- Each eligible student would have one lead teacher assigned, with up to two students per teacher, and other teachers also involved
Guardians:
- Adults aged 18 or older
- A guardian of an enrolled student
- No history of suspected or confirmed child maltreatment
Who may not be able to join:
- Anyone in any of the above groups who does not meet all of the relevant criteria listed for their group
