Who might be able to join this trial:

• People aged 18 or older, of any gender
• People who have been diagnosed with active, symptomatic multiple myeloma (based on established 2014 diagnostic guidelines) and have measurable signs of the disease
• People who are experiencing their first relapse of multiple myeloma (the disease has returned for the first time)
• People who are currently receiving their first course of treatment for multiple myeloma
• People whose first-line treatment was based on a specific combination of drugs known as proteasome inhibitors and immunomodulators (commonly called RVD)
• People whose myeloma responded at least partially to their previous treatment, as determined by their doctor using standard response guidelines
• People (or their legal representative) who are willing to sign a consent form confirming they understand the study and agree to take part
• Women who could become pregnant must agree to use two reliable forms of contraception at the same time, or to avoid sexual intercourse with a male partner, starting 4 weeks before treatment and continuing for at least 3 months after the last dose — and must have a negative pregnancy test within 14 days before joining the study

Who may not be able to join:

• People diagnosed with an inactive or early form of myeloma, such as smoldering myeloma, MGUS (a pre-myeloma condition), or primary amyloidosis
• People whose myeloma did not respond to their most recent treatment, or whose disease progressed within 60 days of finishing treatment (known as relapsed and refractory myeloma)
• People whose myeloma has never responded to any treatment at all (known as primary refractory myeloma)
• People who have previously received the drugs daratumumab or pomalidomide
• People who have had another type of cancer within the past 3 years (exceptions may apply if the treating doctor and study team consider that cancer to be fully cured with very low chance of returning — confirm with trial site)
• People with a psychiatric condition that is not well controlled
• People who, in the opinion of the treating doctor, would not be suited to participate, or whose participation could interfere with the study assessments or would not be in their best interest
