Who might be able to join this trial:
- Adults between 18 and 50 years of age
- People who are able to understand and agree to participate in the study on their own
- People with a Body Mass Index (a measure of body weight relative to height) below 30
- People whose hiatal defect (a gap where the stomach can push up through the diaphragm) measures less than 4cm, as shown on a specific type of X-ray called an esophagram
- People whose stomach acid levels are too high, specifically where acid levels drop below pH 4 for more than 5.5% of the time during pH testing (confirm with trial site)
- People who are considered suitable for a specific type of surgery that closes the hiatal defect only
Who may not be able to join:
- People under 18 years of age
