Who might be able to join this trial:

  • People who are between 45 and 75 years old at the time of signing the consent form

  • People who have, or have had, other medical, genetic, or neurological conditions that could explain their symptoms instead of Parkinson's disease
  • People with a significant history of blood vessel or heart disease
  • People with notable memory or thinking difficulties, or poorly managed depression or anxiety
  • People who have had, or currently have, psychosis or problems with impulse control
  • People with a history of cancer, except for certain treated skin cancers (squamous or basal cell carcinoma)
  • People with other health conditions that could make surgery unsafe or unsuitable (confirm with trial site)
  • People who are unable to have an MRI scan or cannot receive a certain type of contrast dye used in MRI imaging
  • People who have previously had brain surgery, including procedures such as deep brain stimulation, pallidotomy, focused ultrasound treatment, or other experimental brain procedures
  • People who are currently on long-term medication that suppresses the immune system
