Who might be able to join this trial:
- People aged between 18 and 64 years old
- People who score 10 or higher on a standard depression questionnaire (PHQ-9) and/or 8 or higher on a standard anxiety questionnaire (GAD-7) at their initial assessment, indicating a meaningful level of symptoms
Who may not be able to join:
- People who are currently receiving any form of talking therapy or psychological treatment for a mental health issue
- People who are currently having serious thoughts of suicide, or who have attempted suicide in the past 2 months (as identified by a specific question on the PHQ-9 questionnaire)
- People who have a cognitive impairment, or who have been diagnosed with bipolar disorder or psychosis, or who are currently experiencing psychotic symptoms
- People who are dependent on alcohol or drugs
- People who are living with an unstable or serious physical health condition that would make it difficult to take part in the trial
