Who may be able to join
- People aged between 18 and 75 years old.
- People who have a confirmed diagnosis of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) that is either locally advanced (a specific stage where the cancer has spread nearby but not widely) or has spread to other parts of the body (Stage IV), and where curative treatment is not suitable — including confirmation of a specific genetic change called an EGFR exon 20 insertion mutation, tested through tumour tissue or a blood sample at a central laboratory.
- People who have at least one tumour that can be measured using standard imaging guidelines (called RECIST Version 1.1).
- People with a life expectancy of at least 12 weeks.
- People who are generally able to carry out daily activities with little to no limitation, based on a standard medical scale (ECOG performance status of 0 or 1).
- People whose organs (such as kidneys and liver) and blood counts are functioning well enough to meet the trial's requirements.
Who may not be able to join
Each point below is a reason the trial team may not be able to accept someone. It is not a list of requirements to meet.
- People who have previously received any systemic (whole-body) anti-cancer treatment for locally advanced or metastatic NSCLC.
- People who have cancer that has spread to the brain or spinal cord and is causing symptoms or signs.
- People whose cancer also carries certain other specific genetic changes in the EGFR gene (exon 19 deletion, L858R, T790M, G719X, S768I, or L861Q).
- People who have a history of a lung condition called interstitial lung disease, or who have had a lung infection (pneumonitis) that required intensive antibiotic treatment.
- People who the trial doctor considers unsuitable to participate in the study for any reason.
