Who might be able to join this trial:

• People aged between 18 and 70 years old
• People whose MRI scan shows a compressed nerve root in the neck
• People with neck pain on one or both sides rated 3 or higher on a 0–10 pain scale, or neck pain with tingling/numbness or arm pain rated 3 or higher on a 0–10 pain scale

Who may not be able to join:

• People who have previously had surgery on the neck or mid-back area of the spine
• People showing signs of damage to the brain or spinal cord's main nerve pathways (confirm with trial site)
• People with a Body Mass Index (BMI) above 35
• People who have had a spinal injection within the last two weeks
• People who have an active infection at the area where the treatment would be applied
• People who have a nerve compression condition in the arm or hand, such as carpal tunnel syndrome or cubital tunnel syndrome
• People who have been diagnosed with a systemic inflammatory joint condition, such as rheumatoid arthritis
• People who have done intense physical exercise within the last 24 hours
• People who are unlikely to follow or have not been following the treatment program as required
