Who might be able to join this trial:
- You are able to read and understand English, can sign a consent form, and are willing to follow the study requirements
- You are generally able to carry out daily activities (your doctor rates your physical ability as fairly good to fully active)
- You are willing to travel to MD Anderson Cancer Center for imaging appointments
- You are 18 years of age or older
- You have been diagnosed with breast cancer
- You will be receiving chemotherapy that includes doxorubicin, cyclophosphamide, docetaxel, or paclitaxel
- For one part of the study, you are also willing to take part in therapy sessions from your own home
Who may not be able to join:
- You are currently taking antipsychotic medications
- You have active cancer that has spread to the brain or surrounding tissues, or you have dementia or brain-related confusion
- You have ever been diagnosed with bipolar disorder or schizophrenia
- You have already been diagnosed with nerve damage or nerve problems in your hands or feet (from any cause)
- You have a history of a head injury or known seizures
Important note on medications: If you join the trial, you must stay on the same medications throughout your chemotherapy — your medication use will be tracked throughout the study.
