Who might be able to join this trial:
- Adults aged 30 years or older
- People who have been diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes, or a condition called latent autoimmune diabetes in adults (LADA) that is being treated as Type 1 diabetes

- People who do not receive their diabetes care at UNC Endocrinology at Eastowne
- People who are unable to commit to attending all pre-scheduled weekly sessions held online (via video)
- People who have a significant medical or psychiatric condition that the trial team determines would prevent safe participation
- People who have a diagnosis of dementia or any other condition that affects memory or the ability to retain information, such as cognitive impairment
- People with a vision or hearing impairment that would interfere with taking part in a group-based program
- People who are currently receiving inpatient psychiatric treatment, or who have had a suicide attempt within the 12 months before enrolling in the trial
