Who might be able to join this trial:
- You must be an adult (18 or older)
- You must be staying in a protected (isolation) unit in a blood cancer (hematology) department for one of the following treatments: initial chemotherapy for acute myeloid leukemia or acute lymphoblastic leukemia, intensive chemotherapy with your own stem cell transplant, or a stem cell transplant from a donor
- Your hospital stay in the hematology department is expected to last at least 7 days
- You must be covered by French social security (or equivalent health coverage)
- You must be willing and able to sign a consent form agreeing to take part
Who may not be able to join:
- People whose care plan has already decided against transfer to intensive care or the use of life-support if needed
- Women who are pregnant, in labour, or currently breastfeeding
- People who are in custody or detained by a court or government authority
- People who are receiving psychiatric care without their own choice (involuntary psychiatric care)
- People who are under legal guardianship or a court-appointed protection order
- People who are not able to give their own consent to take part
- People who are being admitted for CAR T-cell therapy (a specific type of immune cell treatment)
