Who might be able to join this trial:

  • You are 18 years of age or older
  • You have been diagnosed with a stomach condition called Functional Dyspepsia and/or Chronic Nausea and Vomiting Syndrome, based on a standard set of medical criteria called Rome IV
  • You have been referred to have a scan that checks how quickly your stomach empties food (called gastric emptying scintigraphy)
  • You have had a camera test of your stomach (gastroscopy) that came back normal
  • You have either tested negative for a stomach bacteria called H. Pylori, or you have already been treated for it

Who may not be able to join:

  • You are currently pregnant or breastfeeding
  • You have a history of severe skin allergies or strong reactions to cosmetics or lotions
  • You have skin on your upper abdomen that is chronically damaged, fragile, wounded, or inflamed
  • You are unable to lie in a relaxed, reclined position for the full duration of the test
