Who might be able to join this trial:

  • You are willing to take part and have signed a consent form
  • You are between 18 and 75 years old (male or female)
  • You have been diagnosed with advanced pancreatic cancer (either spread to other parts of the body or unable to be removed by surgery), and you have at least one tumour that can be measured on a scan
  • Standard treatments have not worked for you, were not available to you, or your cancer came back within 6 months of completing post-surgery treatment
  • You are generally well enough to carry out light activity and care for yourself (confirm with trial site)
  • Doctors expect you to live for at least 12 weeks
  • Your blood counts and organ function (such as liver and kidneys) are at acceptable levels (confirm with trial site)
  • Any side effects from previous cancer treatments have mostly cleared up or are stable, with the exception of hair loss at any level or mild nerve-related side effects
  • If you can become pregnant, you must have a negative pregnancy test within one week before starting the trial and agree to use effective contraception during the trial and for three months after the last dose; if your partner can become pregnant, you must also agree to use effective contraception during the same period

Who may not be able to join:

  • You have a known allergy to the trial drug or any of its ingredients
  • You have had another active cancer in the past 5 years
  • You have received cancer treatment in the 4 weeks before starting the trial, or palliative radiotherapy within the past 14 days
  • You have previously had a bone marrow transplant or an organ transplant
  • You have cancer that has spread to the brain or spinal cord and has not been treated or is currently active
  • You have had a serious blood clot in the heart, brain, or blood vessels in the 6 months before joining the trial
  • You have high blood pressure that is not well controlled with medication
  • Your cancer has spread to internal organs and is causing symptoms that could become life-threatening very soon
  • You have a lung condition involving scarring or inflammation, a severe uncontrolled medical condition, an active infection, or you have had major surgery within the past 28 days or are still recovering from it
  • You have taken part in another clinical trial within the 4 weeks before starting this trial
  • You have a weakened immune system, HIV, active hepatitis B, or active hepatitis C
  • You have an active autoimmune disease or a history of autoimmune disease
  • You have taken steroid medications or other immune-suppressing drugs within the 2 weeks before starting the trial
  • You have a high risk of pancreatitis, including certain elevated levels of specific enzymes in your blood (confirm with trial site)
  • Your doctor feels there are other reasons you should not take part (confirm with trial site)
