Who might be able to join this trial:
- People aged 18 to 75 years old, of any gender
- People who are generally active and able to carry out daily activities with little or no limitation (confirmed by a doctor using a standard scale called ECOG, with a score of 0 or 1)
- People whose tumor is located in the pancreas
- People whose tumor has been confirmed by a tissue test (pathology) to be either pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma or acinar cell carcinoma
- People whose cancer has not spread to distant parts of the body
- People whose pancreatic tumor is positioned more than 1 centimetre away from the duodenum (the first part of the small intestine)
- People whose cancer has been assessed by doctors as either locally advanced (not spread far but involving nearby blood vessels in a way that makes surgery very difficult) or borderline resectable (potentially removable by surgery but involving nearby blood vessels in a complex way) — (confirm with trial site for the detailed vessel-involvement criteria)
- People with no history of immune system diseases, other cancers, heart muscle disease, coronary heart disease, other heart or brain blood vessel conditions, thyroid problems, liver or kidney disease, psychiatric conditions, infectious diseases, or other serious ongoing health conditions
- People who are willing to participate, are likely to follow the study requirements, and have provided written consent
Who may not be able to join:
- People who do not meet the inclusion criteria listed above
- People who have difficulty with thinking or communication, are unable to answer questions or complete questionnaires, or have a mental health condition that would affect participation
- People whom the trial investigators judge to be unsuitable for the study for any reason
