Who might be able to join this trial:

• People who have been diagnosed with Parkinson's disease at a mild to moderate stage (stages 1 to 3), as confirmed by a neurologist using recognised international diagnostic guidelines

• People who have been diagnosed with functional diarrhoea or a mixed or diarrhoea-predominant form of irritable bowel syndrome, based on recognised diagnostic criteria
• People who have a known structural problem with their digestive system that causes symptoms, or who have inflammatory bowel disease
• People with significantly reduced liver or kidney function, as measured by specific blood test results (confirm with trial site)
• People who are currently pregnant or breastfeeding
• People who have been diagnosed with a specific bowel muscle coordination problem called primary dyssynergic defecation, identified through a specialised bowel pressure test (confirm with trial site)
