- People who experience claustrophobia, or who have a history of moderate to severe anxiety disorder or panic attacks, which could make it difficult to complete the scans.
- People for whom a PET scan is medically not appropriate for any reason.
- People who have been exposed to experimental radiation in the past 12 months to a degree that would mean participating in this study exceeds safe radiation limits.
- People who have previously had a bad reaction to a PET scan, including an allergic reaction to any substance used during a PET scan, or who have been unable to complete a PET scan in the past.
