Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who are 18 years of age or older at the time of signing consent
- People who have been diagnosed with atrial fibrillation (an irregular heart rhythm) that either comes and goes in episodes lasting less than 7 days, or has been ongoing for 7 days or longer
- People with a Body Mass Index (BMI) of 27.0 or above (a measure of body weight relative to height)
Who may not be able to join:

- People who have an implanted heart device (such as a pacemaker or defibrillator)
- People who have had a cardiac arrest (when the heart has stopped beating) at any point in the past
- People whose heart pumping function is significantly reduced, specifically a left ventricular ejection fraction of 35% or below (confirm with trial site)
- People whose life expectancy is less than one year
- People who do not speak English
- People whose treating doctor considers exercise to be unsafe for them
- People who are considered unsuitable for the study for any other reason, as determined by the principal investigator
