- People who are unable to perform repeated physical exercises as required by the study
- People whose upper blood pressure reading (systolic) is higher than 160 mmHg
- People whose upper blood pressure reading (systolic) is higher than 160 mmHg and/or whose lower blood pressure reading (diastolic) is higher than 100 mmHg, specifically in relation to the exercise testing portion of the trial
