Who might be able to join this trial:
- People over the age of 65 who attend a primary care centre taking part in this trial and have both mood-related and physical complaints may be asked about depressive symptoms.
- People who have been diagnosed with minor or major depression, are willing to take part, and do not fall into any of the exclusion categories listed below may be eligible to join after a further assessment by a psychologist or specially trained nurse.
Who may not be able to join:
- People diagnosed with severe depression.
- People who have previously attempted suicide, or who are currently assessed as being at medium to high risk of suicide based on specific screening tools.
- People diagnosed with bipolar disorder.
- People diagnosed with psychosis.
- People with an addiction diagnosis.
- People with cognitive impairment (such as problems with memory or thinking).
- People who do not speak or understand Swedish.
