Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who have been diagnosed with idiopathic Parkinson's Disease (Parkinson's that develops on its own, not caused by another condition)
- People whose Parkinson's has been assessed by their doctor, neurologist, or movement disorder specialist as being at Hoehn and Yahr stages 1 through 3 (a scale used to measure how advanced Parkinson's symptoms are)
- People who are able to walk, with or without a walking aid such as a cane or walker
- People who are able to arrange their own transport to and from the testing location
- People who are able to stand without help for at least 10 minutes
- People whose Parkinson's medications have remained unchanged for at least 3 months, as confirmed by their doctor
- People whose doctor (such as a GP, neurologist, or movement disorder specialist) has given them clearance to take part in a moderate to vigorous exercise program
Who may not be able to join:
- People who have a neurological condition other than Parkinson's Disease
- People who have had deep brain stimulation surgery within the past 3 months, as determined by their doctor
- People who are currently taking part in a Rock Steady Boxing program
- People who report already doing more than 60 minutes per week of moderate to vigorous exercise
