Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who have had typical carpal tunnel syndrome symptoms (such as hand numbness, tingling, or pain) for longer than 3 months
- People whose carpal tunnel syndrome has been confirmed through a nerve conduction test (called an EMG)
- People who are male or female and are over 18 years of age
Who may not be able to join:
- People who have a history of nerve disease affecting multiple nerves (polyneuropathy), nerve problems in the shoulder area (brachial plexopathy), thoracic outlet syndrome, or who have had surgery on their wrist
- People who have inflammatory arthritis, an underactive thyroid (hypothyroidism), are pregnant, have a rheumatological disorder, or have diabetes
- People who have a condition affecting the blood vessels in their limbs (peripheral vascular disease)
