• People who are currently being treated for a second, separate cancer in addition to their rectal cancer
• People who are already enrolled in another clinical trial that would prevent them from completing the tasks required in this trial
• People who have been doing more than 60 minutes of moderate-to-vigorous aerobic exercise per week over the past month, as this trial is focused on people who are not currently very active
