Who might be able to join this trial:
- People aged 18 years or older
- People who have been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, based on World Health Organization (WHO) diagnostic standards
- People who have been diagnosed with diabetic polyneuropathy (nerve damage related to diabetes), confirmed through two specific nerve symptom scoring tests called the Neurological Symptom Score (NSS) and Neuropathy Disability Score (NDS)
Who may not be able to join:
- People who have a documented mental impairment that affects their ability to answer questions on their own
- People who have peripheral vascular disease, which means poor blood flow in the legs and feet (such as absent foot pulses or leg pain when walking)
- People who have had a foot or leg amputation
- People with abnormal liver enzyme levels (confirm with trial site)
- People who have reduced kidney function
- People currently taking certain medications that could affect the study results, including antidepressants, anti-seizure medications, opioid pain relievers, antipsychotics, antioxidants, or specific B vitamin supplements such as methylcobalamin, pyridoxine, or other B complex preparations
- People who are pregnant, breastfeeding, or of childbearing age without a reliable form of contraception
- People with a known allergy to Vitamin B complex preparations (including Vitamins B1, B6, and B12) or alpha lipoic acid
