Who might be able to join this trial:

All participants must meet these criteria:

  • Adults aged 18 or older
  • People who have been fully informed about the study by a researcher and have agreed to take part

People with Parkinson's Disease (PD) must also meet these criteria:

  • A confirmed Parkinson's Disease diagnosis based on internationally recognised diagnostic standards (called MDS criteria)
  • A score greater than 20 out of 30 on a standard memory and thinking test called the MoCA
  • No history of deep brain stimulation treatment

People with REM Sleep Behavior Disorder (RBD) must also meet these criteria:

  • A confirmed RBD diagnosis based on recognised sleep disorder criteria (ICSD-3), shown through a sleep study that detected unusual muscle activity or physical movements during a specific stage of sleep
  • No signs or diagnosis of a progressive brain condition such as Parkinson's Disease, multiple system atrophy, or Lewy body dementia

Healthy volunteers must meet this criterion:

  • No neurological or psychiatric conditions

Who may not be able to join:

  • Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding
  • People who are under legal guardianship or conservatorship
  • People who are currently deprived of their liberty
