Who might be able to join this trial:
Schools:
- Schools in the state of North Carolina that took part in training for either the Tealeaf or RE-SEED program in Summer 2024 or 2025, after being selected through a random assignment process
- Schools that have a principal who meets the eligibility requirements listed below
Principals:
- Principals who are over 18 years old, work at an enrolled school, and have no history of suspected or confirmed misconduct or mistreatment involving children
Teachers:
- Teachers who are over 18 years old, work at an enrolled school, and have no history of suspected or confirmed misconduct or mistreatment involving children
- Teachers who are the main teacher for a single class (taught for at least 1 hour per day, at least 4 days per week) in any grade from Kindergarten to Grade 8
School Counselors:
- Counselors who are over 18 years old, hold a counselor role at an enrolled school for at least 10 hours per week, and have no history of suspected or confirmed misconduct or mistreatment involving children
Students:
- Students enrolled in Kindergarten through Grade 8 who are taught by an enrolled teacher
- Students whose parent or guardian is able to provide consent for their participation
- Students who score at a positive or clinically significant level on a standardised behavioural screening tool called the Strengths and Difficulties Questionnaire (SDQ) (confirm with trial site)
Parents/Guardians:
- Parents or guardians who are over 18 years old and are the guardian of an enrolled student
Who may not be able to join:
- Anyone who does not meet the criteria listed above for their specific group (schools, principals, teachers, counselors, students, or guardians) would not be eligible to participate
