Who might be able to join this trial:
- Adults who have had an acute ischemic stroke (a stroke caused by a blood clot) affecting any part of the brain, whether or not the cause is known
- People who have a type of irregular heart rhythm called paroxysmal atrial fibrillation (AF), meaning it comes and goes rather than being constant — this includes AF that was already known before the stroke, AF picked up on a heart tracing (ECG) taken at the hospital, or AF detected during a 14-day heart monitor worn after the stroke

- People who do not wish to give their consent to take part
- People who have AF that is permanent or long-lasting (rather than the kind that comes and goes)
- People who have an allergy to iodinated contrast agents (a type of dye sometimes used in medical scans)
