Who might be able to join this trial:
- Be between 18 and 90 years old
- Have freezing of gait (sudden inability to move your feet while walking) caused by Parkinson's disease, based on your own report
- Score 21 or higher on a standard memory and thinking test called the MoCA
- Be able to walk at least 20 meters (about 65 feet) on your own, even if you use a walking aid like a cane or walker, without needing someone to physically help you
- Be able to speak, understand, and communicate clearly with the study team
- Be willing to allow the study team to contact your doctor to confirm your medical history if needed
- Be willing to sign a consent form agreeing to take part in the study
- Be able to attend 8 research visits
Who may not be able to join:
- Had more than 2 falls in the past month due to walking difficulties (though the study doctor may still allow you to join)
- Had a major surgery in the last 6 months that affects your ability to walk (though the study doctor may still allow you to join)
- Have walking difficulties caused by a missing limb
- Experience ongoing, long-term pain that affects your ability to walk (though the study doctor may still allow you to join)
- Have serious health conditions unrelated to walking — such as uncontrolled heart, nerve, skin, or blood vessel problems (for example, untreated blood clots) — that could interfere with taking part in the study
- Do not show noticeable freezing of gait that can be observed by the study team
