Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who have been diagnosed with idiopathic Parkinson's disease (Parkinson's disease with no known cause) and have difficulties with walking and balance

- People with severe communication difficulties that prevent them from understanding information about the study
- People whose walking or balance problems are caused by a condition other than Parkinson's disease
- People who are expected to need a hospital stay during the training period of the trial
- People with a past or current physical or neurological condition that would interfere with the study procedures
- People whose personal or social circumstances would make it difficult to attend therapy sessions and follow-up appointments
- People who are not able to voluntarily adjust or adapt how they walk
- People taking certain sedative medications (benzodiazepines or Z-drugs) that significantly affect sleep brain activity
- People who have had a deep brain stimulation device implanted within the last 6 months
- People who cannot complete the study's walking assessments without a walking aid
- People who have skin conditions, sensitivities, or allergies around the face or ears (such as a nickel allergy) that could be made worse by applying electrodes to those areas
