  • Children or young people who score at or above a certain level on an anxiety screening tool called the SCARED (the required score is 31 or higher for girls, and 27 or higher for boys)

Who may not be able to join:

  • People who are currently receiving treatment for anxiety, or who are currently receiving any mental health treatment for other emotional or mood-related difficulties
  • People whose anxiety or related difficulties are considered serious enough to need professional treatment, including those who score 6 or higher on a clinical severity rating scale (called the CSR, part of the ADIS), or those who score above the clinical cut-off on a depression measure called the Child Depression Inventory
  • People who would have difficulty understanding or following the training involved in the trial
