Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who are 21 years of age or older
- People who have been diagnosed with colorectal adenocarcinoma (a type of bowel cancer) confirmed by a tissue sample, without the cancer having spread to distant parts of the body, and who had surgery aimed at fully removing the cancer less than 6 months ago
- People who are scheduled for or are already having routine check-ups after surgery, following national guidelines
- People who are willing and able to give written consent to take part
- People who own and have access to a smartphone
Who may not be able to join:
- People whose recovery after surgery was seriously complicated, requiring hospital-based follow-up for longer than 6 months after the operation
- People who are already enrolled in another study that requires regular scans (once a year or more often) of the abdomen and/or chest as part of a strict follow-up schedule
- People who have another health condition or a different cancer that requires scans of the abdomen and/or chest once a year or more often
- People who have an active implanted medical device in their body, such as a pacemaker or an implantable defibrillator (a device that regulates heart rhythm)
- People who are unable to complete questionnaires due to not being able to read or not having sufficient proficiency in the Dutch language
