Who might be able to join this trial:
- People aged 18 or older
- People who have had a type of weight loss surgery called a one anastomosis gastric bypass, followed by a procedure called fundoplication (a surgery to treat severe acid reflux using the excluded part of the stomach), within the 2 years before joining the study
- People whose acid reflux has not been controlled with medication alone
- People who have lost more than 50% of their excess body weight after surgery
- People who have had specific pre-surgery tests to confirm acid reflux, including a camera examination of the stomach and bowel, an acid and flow measurement test, and a CT scan of the abdomen
- People who, in the opinion of the study team, are able to understand study information and complete quality-of-life questionnaires
- People who are willing to take part in all study assessments
- Women of childbearing age who either have a negative blood pregnancy test or are using effective contraception for the full duration of the study
- People who have been fully informed about the study and have signed a written consent form
Who may not be able to join:
- People whose one anastomosis gastric bypass was converted to a different type of bypass surgery (Y bypass) because of severe acid reflux requiring surgery
- People who had a hiatal hernia repair done at the same time as their one anastomosis gastric bypass
- People who had a one anastomosis gastric bypass performed as a second or revision weight loss surgery
- People who have an uncontrolled or irregular diet
- People who are under legal protection or whose freedom has been restricted by a court or administrative order
- People who are unable to understand the study information due to language, psychological, cognitive, or other reasons
- Women who are pregnant, may become pregnant without using effective contraception, or who are currently breastfeeding
- People who are already taking part in another clinical trial, or who are in an exclusion period from a previous trial that could affect this study's results
- People who are not covered by a social security (health insurance) scheme
