  • People who have had a bacterial or viral infection within the past 30 days.
  • People who have previously been treated with total body radiation, clemastine, bexarotene, or another experimental treatment aimed at repairing the protective coating of nerve fibres.
  • People who have recently attempted suicide or who are currently expressing thoughts of suicide.
  • People who have an implanted medical device, such as a pacemaker, cochlear implant, or nerve stimulator.
  • People who have an unusual ear structure or a current ear infection.
  • People who are pregnant, breastfeeding, or not using contraception.
  • People who are unable to walk 25 feet (approximately 7.5 metres) continuously without stopping.
  • People who have another significant illness or condition that could interfere with taking part in the study (confirm with trial site).
