Who might be able to join this trial:
- You have been officially diagnosed with multiple myeloma based on recognised diagnostic standards
- Your multiple myeloma has come back or stopped responding to treatment, and you have already tried at least 3 different types of myeloma treatment (including one from each of three specific drug groups: a proteasome inhibitor, an immunomodulatory drug, and an anti-CD38 antibody)
- Your disease has continued to grow within 12 months of your last treatment, or within the past 6 months and did not respond to your most recent treatment
- Tests show there is a measurable amount of myeloma in your body (through blood, urine, or light chain tests)
- Your myeloma cells carry certain proteins on their surface (called BCMA or GPRC5D); if you have previously had treatment targeting BCMA, your cells must show the GPRC5D protein
- You are generally able to carry out daily activities with no more than minor limitations (confirm with trial site)
- Your doctors expect you to live for at least 12 more weeks
- Your blood counts and organ function meet certain minimum levels, including your red blood cells, platelets, white blood cells, liver function, kidney function, calcium levels, oxygen levels, and heart function (confirm specific values with trial site)
Who may not be able to join:
- You have a single isolated tumour made of myeloma cells (called a solitary plasmacytoma) rather than widespread myeloma
- Your myeloma has spread to your brain or spinal cord, or you are showing signs that it might have
- You have previously had a stem cell transplant using cells from another person, or you had a stem cell transplant using your own cells within the last 12 weeks
- You currently have another active cancer (some exceptions may apply, such as certain cured skin cancers or early-stage cancers that are not spreading — confirm with trial site)
- You have another serious medical condition that your doctor feels could make it unsafe for you to take part in the trial
- You have been diagnosed with a related but different blood condition, such as plasma cell leukaemia, Waldenström's macroglobulinaemia, POEMS syndrome, or primary AL amyloidosis
