Who might be able to join this trial:

  • You are a woman over 18 years old
  • You can read and speak English
  • You have been diagnosed with pudendal neuralgia, or you have long-term pelvic pain felt in the area connected to the pudendal nerve (a nerve in the pelvic region), lasting 3 months or more
  • Your pain or discomfort is rated at least 4 out of 10 in terms of how much it bothers you
  • You are interested in receiving a pudendal nerve block (an injection to help reduce nerve pain in the pelvic area)

Who may not be able to join:

  • You have a medical reason why a pudendal nerve block would not be safe for you, such as a skin or vaginal infection, an allergy to the numbing medication bupivacaine, or an uncorrected blood clotting problem (confirm with trial site)
  • You are currently pregnant or planning to become pregnant during the study
  • You have had a pudendal nerve block injection (by any method) within the last 3 months
  • You have had major pelvic surgery, such as a hysterectomy or similar procedure, within the last 3 months
  • You have a nervous system condition that affects the area between your legs, such as a spinal cord injury or multiple sclerosis
