Who might be able to join this trial:

  • People who have a severe disorder affecting blood clotting
  • People who have spinal stenosis where the spinal canal is very narrow (less than 8 mm in diameter)
  • People who have neurological problems (such as weakness or loss of feeling) that would prevent them from receiving treatment
  • People who have an active infection
  • People who have vasculitis (inflammation of the blood vessels)
  • People who have a skin condition or skin problem in the area where treatment would be applied
  • People who have had steroid injections or physical therapy for their lower back within the last 3 months
  • People who have had surgery on their lower back (lumbar spine)
  • People who have a recent acute injury or trauma
  • People who have a history of instability in the lower back (lumbar instability)
  • People who have uncontrolled or severe heart or metabolic conditions (such as uncontrolled diabetes or heart disease)
