Who might be able to join this trial:
- You are between 18 and 80 years old (male or female)
- You have a growth or abnormal area in your pancreas that was seen on a scan (such as an ultrasound, MRI, CT, or PET-CT) and doctors strongly suspect it could be pancreatic cancer that needs a biopsy to help confirm the diagnosis
- You have not received any chemotherapy treatment of any kind (before surgery, after surgery, or for managing the disease)
- You are willing to take part in the study and sign a consent form
Who may not be able to join:
- You are in poor general health, for example having very low red blood cell levels or serious heart or lung problems
- You have blood clotting problems, such as a very low platelet count or blood that does not clot properly
- You are not cleared to safely receive anesthesia (sedation) for the procedure
- You have had pancreatitis (inflammation of the pancreas) within the last 2 weeks
- You are currently pregnant or breastfeeding
- You have a mental health condition, drug dependency, or another condition that may make it difficult to attend follow-up appointments
- You have taken antibiotics before the biopsy procedure, or the trial doctors feel there is another reason you would not be suitable for the study (confirm with trial site)
