Who might be able to join this trial:
- You are between 8 and 18 years old and have end-stage kidney disease (your kidneys have stopped working properly)
- You receive regular kidney dialysis (hemodialysis) through a working blood vessel connection in your arm called an arteriovenous fistula
- You are fully aware of where you are, what time it is, and who is around you at the time of the study
- You are experiencing anxiety, depression, or both
Who may not be able to join:
- Children who use a temporary or permanent catheter (a tube inserted into a vein) for their dialysis treatment
- Children who have a diagnosed mental illness, or who have problems with their vision or hearing
- Children who are currently taking any pain relief medications or antipsychotic medications
- Children who are not experiencing anxiety or depression
