- Adults aged 18 or older who are already scheduled to have a 24-hour blood pressure monitoring test (where a device records blood pressure at regular intervals throughout the day and night)
Who may not be able to join:
- People whose upper arm measures less than 22 cm or more than 42 cm around, as the monitoring cuff would not fit correctly
- People who work night shifts
- People with a permanent irregular heart rhythm known as atrial fibrillation
- People who have been diagnosed with a serious narrowing of the main heart valve (severe aortic stenosis)
- People for whom it is not possible or safe to have blood pressure measured on their non-dominant arm (the arm they use less)
- People who are currently pregnant
