Who might be able to join this trial:
- People aged 18 or older
- People who have been diagnosed with colorectal cancer, confirmed by a tissue sample (biopsy or surgical specimen)
- People who have previously had surgery aimed at fully removing their colorectal cancer
- People who are already scheduled, as part of their routine follow-up care, to have a whole-colon check-up (either a colonoscopy or a CT scan of the colon)
Who may not be able to join:
- People under the age of 18
- People who are not able to give informed consent to take part in research
- People who currently have an ileostomy (a surgical opening from the small intestine to the outside of the body), or who have no remaining colon after their surgery (note: people with a colostomy are not excluded by this criterion)
- People who have already been told their colorectal cancer has come back
