Who might be able to join this trial:

  • People who have been diagnosed with a confirmed malignant tumour of the pancreatic ducts (confirmed by laboratory testing of tissue)

  • People whose life expectancy is estimated to be more than 3 months
  • People who have previously received some form of cancer treatment

Who may not be able to join:

  • People with a known allergy or intolerance to any ingredient in the oral nutritional supplement being studied
  • People who have used the type of oral nutritional supplement being studied within the month before enrolling
  • People whose tumour is pressing on a specific part of the digestive system (the major duodenal papilla), or who have jaundice or acute pancreatitis
  • People with medical conditions that make cancer treatment unsafe, such as coronary heart disease, stroke, brain bleed, or other serious illnesses
  • People with liver, kidney, or blood clotting problems that indicate organ failure
  • People with blood disorders
  • People with active infections
  • People who have another unrelated primary cancer
  • People with other medical conditions that are seriously affecting their nutritional health
  • People who the trial investigator considers unsuitable for the trial for other reasons
