Who might be able to join this trial:
- People aged between 21 and 65 years old
- People who are scheduled to have a laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy (a type of weight-loss stomach surgery) at one of the participating hospitals

- People who have factors that may make it difficult to follow the study requirements, such as dementia, alcohol or substance use issues, a history of missing appointments or not taking medications as directed, or strong objections from close family members
- People who are taking blood-thinning or anti-clotting medications that cannot be safely paused for the study period (confirm with trial site)
