• You must be an undergraduate student at the Universidad de los Andes.
• You must be 18 years old or older.
• You must be able to read and speak Spanish.

• You must have already attended an informational meeting explaining the study and what taking part involves.
• You must be available to attend one 90-minute session per week for 8 weeks in a row, and be willing to practice mindfulness exercises at home for at least 15 minutes every day during the programme.

Who may not be able to join:

• You may not be eligible if your PHQ-9 depression score is 15 or higher, suggesting more severe depression symptoms.
• You may not be eligible if you are currently experiencing thoughts of suicide, as measured by a specific safety scale used by the study team (confirm with trial site).
• You may not be eligible if you are currently receiving psychiatric treatment for a serious condition such as a psychotic disorder or substance misuse.
• You may not be eligible if you have been hospitalised for a psychiatric condition at any point in the last 2 years.
• You may not be eligible if you have previously completed a mindfulness-based programme or course, such as MBCT, MBSR, or similar (confirm with trial site for specific examples).
