Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who have been clinically diagnosed with weakness or paralysis in two or four limbs, caused by a problem with the peripheral nervous system, confirmed by nerve and muscle electrical testing (ENG/EMG)
- People who were living independently before becoming critically ill
Who may not be able to join:
- People with a pre-existing medical condition known to contribute to ICU-acquired weakness (a type of muscle and nerve weakness that can develop during a serious illness)

- People with serious problems with blood clotting
- People with a severe impairment of consciousness or awareness

- Healthy volunteers who have bone, muscle, nerve, heart, or lung conditions that could affect the way they walk
