- Adults of any age or gender who are seen as outpatients at Le Mans Hospital
- People for whom a bronchial fibroscopy (a procedure to look inside the airways) has been recommended by their doctor
- People who are enrolled in or covered by French social security

- People who have been given calming or anxiety-reducing medication before the procedure
- People with a history of epilepsy or a psychiatric condition
- People who experience vertigo (dizziness or balance problems)
- People who are uncooperative, have dementia, or are unable to wear a headset device
- People who are under legal guardianship or curatorship (a court-appointed arrangement for personal care or finances)
- People who are blind or deaf
- People with a known significant sensitivity or intolerance to screens and/or virtual reality devices
- Women who are pregnant, breastfeeding, or in labour
- People who are being seen as an emergency or who have not been scheduled in advance
- People who are currently admitted to hospital as inpatients
