- People who have a medical condition or take medications that would make moderate-intensity exercise unsafe
- People who score 21 or below on a standard memory and thinking test called the MoCA, or who are unable to follow directions
- People who use alcohol or recreational drugs excessively
- People who have recently had a change in their medications
- People who are unable to stand and walk for at least two minutes without using a walking aid
