  • For Part 1 (healthy volunteers): You must be a Japanese healthy adult aged 18 to under 55, or a non-Asian healthy man aged 18 to under 55; Japanese healthy adults aged 65 to under 80 may also be eligible for an older age group in this part.

Who may not be able to join:

  • You have a history of, or currently have, certain serious illnesses such as lung disease, heart disease, stomach or bowel disease, kidney disease, liver disease, a mental health condition, an autoimmune disease, or cancer, if the study doctor thinks this could affect the results.
  • You have had, or currently have, an allergy to any medication.
  • You have had, or currently have, problems with alcohol or drug misuse.
  • You are pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning to have a child during the study (applies to Parts 2 and 3).
  • You have smoked within a certain time period before joining (confirm with trial site for the exact timeframe).
  • You have had an infection within a certain time period before joining (confirm with trial site for the exact timeframe).
  • The study doctor feels, for any reason, that it would not be safe or suitable for you to take part.
