Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who are over 18 years old
- People who are able to complete a detailed memory and thinking (neuropsychological) assessment
- People who are able to give their own written consent to take part in the study
- People who have been diagnosed with Parkinson's disease (the kind with no known external cause) based on the most current internationally recognised diagnostic guidelines
- People who have been on a stable and optimised Parkinson's medication plan for at least four weeks
Who may not be able to join:
- People with serious long-term illnesses affecting the whole body, such as active cancer currently being treated with chemotherapy, or severe heart failure
- People who have any other active brain or nervous system condition in addition to Parkinson's disease
- People who have a cochlear implant, any metal or magnetic device in or near the brain, a pacemaker, deep brain stimulation (DBS) electrodes, or any other implanted electrical or mechanical device
- People with a history of epilepsy
- People who have had a stroke, brain tumour, brain infection, or a metabolic brain condition that could cause seizures
- People who are currently pregnant or breastfeeding
- People with alcoholism
- People who have taken certain medications in the past month, including anticholinesterase drugs, benzodiazepines, antipsychotics (neuroleptics), anticholinergic drugs, or antidepressants
- People currently taking medications known to lower the threshold for seizures — this includes certain antidepressants, antipsychotics, antivirals, stimulants, anaesthetic agents, and some other substances (confirm with trial site for the full list)
- People with an active ear condition, particularly those currently taking antibiotics that can damage hearing (such as aminoglycoside antibiotics)
- People who have been diagnosed with Parkinson's disease dementia (PDD) according to the most current recognised diagnostic guidelines

To compare SAI, SICI and ICF among PD patients who cognitively progressed from normal cognitive status to MCI or dementia, and from MCI to dementia.; To compare SAI, SICI and ICF among PD patients with different cognitive condition (normal, MCI and dementia).
