Group 1 – Healthy Adults:
- You are 18 years of age or older
- You are generally healthy with no known eye problems other than needing glasses or contacts
- You are willing and able to agree to take part in the study
Group 2 – Adult Eye Clinic Patients:
- You are 18 years of age or older and are a patient at Duke Eye Center
- Your doctor is aware of the study and is happy for the study team to contact you
- You are willing and able to agree to take part in the study
Group 3 – Children Seen at Eye Clinics:
- The child is under 18 years of age and is a patient at Duke Eye Center, or is having a medically necessary exam under anaesthesia at Duke Eye Center
- The child's parent or legal guardian is willing and able to give consent on the child's behalf
- The child's doctor is aware of the study and is happy for the study team to contact the parent or guardian
Who may not be able to join:
Group 1 – Healthy Adults:
- You are a student or employee directly supervised by the researchers running this trial
- You have had previous problems with eye-dilating drops
- You are pregnant and would be receiving eye-dilating drops as part of the study
Group 2 – Adult Eye Clinic Patients:
- You have a health or eye condition (such as a cloudy cornea or cataracts) that prevents a standard eye exam or retinal imaging from being carried out
Group 3 – Children Seen at Eye Clinics:
- The child's parent or legal guardian is unwilling or unable to give consent
- The child has a health or eye condition (such as a cloudy cornea or cataracts) that prevents a standard eye exam or retinal imaging from being carried out
