Who might be able to join this trial:

Part A (first phase of the trial):

  • People with a body mass index (BMI) between 27 and just under 40

Part B (second phase of the trial):

  • Adults who have been diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes
  • People whose HbA1c blood sugar level (a measure of average blood sugar over roughly 3 months) is between 7% and just under 10.5%

  • People who have a known HIV infection
  • People who have a known current or ongoing hepatitis C or hepatitis B infection

Part B:

  • People who are currently taking any weight management medications or any diabetes medications other than metformin and an SGLT2 inhibitor
